I'm back this week to teach you a song!!  Click on the link below to view the video!

I have a special guest with me to help me sing the song and to play some back up maracas!  If you have a percussion instrument, you might want to get it now before you watch the video.  If you made a shaky egg from one of your Easter eggs that would be a PERFECT instrument to play. Enjoy!

Activity 3

This week is holy week and we are preparing for Easter!  This also means, I'm pretty sure you have some empty plastic Easter eggs lying around.  So this week, I'm sharing a great activity that creates your own shaky egg!!!! Just follow the steps below.

Step 1: Find an empty plastic easter egg

Step 2: Fill the egg with 1-2 teaspoons of dry rice or dry beans

Step 3: Close up the egg and tape it shut (This is an important step so the filling doesn't fall out)

Voila!  You now have a homemade instrument! Now just shake it to some music! Here are a few songs from my Spotify playlist that use shaky eggs.

-"Play your Instruments and Make a Pretty Sound"

-"Shake My Sillies Out"

-"I know a Chicken"

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter!  This week we are going to need some paper and crayons!  Listen to the new Okee Dokee Brothers song "Hope Machine" and draw what you think a Hope Machine looks like! It can be anything you want! Listen to the song though because it might give you a few ideas!

The song is on my Spotify playlist but you can find it other places too, like YouTube! Here is my link again!

Activity 2

Activity 1

Keep checking out my Spotify playlist for new songs that I have added for fun dancing games and songs!

This week I have a fun listening game planned.  You will need a toy or device that can make sounds/music.  Its called musical hide and seek!  Hide the object that makes sounds/music and have your child try to find it! Start off easy but then making the hiding spots harder and harder! This will help the listening skills! ENJOY!

A very important part of music class for primary grades is to get up and move.  We like to get our wiggles out with fun music and play games that develop our minds and bodies. Please check out the playlist I made on Spotify called "Mrs. Casey's Classroom Playlist"

This playlist is full of songs that we play and sing to in music class including some other music that facilitates movement that is easy to follow along.
